Hi, I have a BMW HK amp BE B220 that just failed. Possibly due to water damage as there were literally a few drops of water on the top when I got to it. I looked closely at the PCB and nothing looks to be obviously water damaged (everything looks pristine) but when I apply 12v (from a bench PSU) it takes no current and when it is connected in the car I get the 'no warning tones' message. No obvious fuses blown. Is this something you can repair? If so what is a usual range of price for this?

Hello, I recently bought a 2009 Q7 with the Bang & Olufsen system. The system worked at first, but every few minutes it would "pop" and then go silent for 10 to 30 seconds. I took out the main app (model 4L0910466A) thinking it was water damaged, but didn't realize (at first) that there was an SMD component with broken solder joints. It fell off before I realized it was that loose. I have pictures of the board I took before the part fell off, but it had no numbers on it. I think it is a capacitor, but I have no way to find out. Is that a job you would even take?

Thanks for the info, I have a same amp on my Porsche 987.2 and noticed it’s drawing high current which cause parasitic draw when the car is off and locked, when I pulled the fuse the parasitic draw stopped so it’s obvious it’s the amp, no water damage and sound work perfect wondering what could be the issue and if I can send it to you for repair

Ecu being water damage is a perfect exemple of planned obsolecence, it should be 100% waterproof with one way valve only or better be kept inside car cabine instead of engine bay.Thanks for the upload good video👍👍👍 camera zoom was nice.Good work man.a new bosch ECU cost 2200$ minimum

I have managed to find a used inductor from an old playstation console to follow my test. I did full voltage testpoints and i am not getting the 3.3volts at trigger show light into optical input. I have discovered that the signal is well trigger by testing voltage near the little red connector ( just above it). I get a strog 5volts dc when i am showing the light onti optical. It seem that little glass diode ( seem to be germanium type , some kind of zener 3.3volts diode that generate the proper 3V3 power… It is difficult to manage without wiring diagrams with information of theses littles parts… ;)

I need to know the exact specifications of the inductor, especially the ampere spec, etc. This part is near your shorted line on your video, just aside the capacitor ‘ short!’ Indeed.. Taking mine apart now with similar water damage. Was hoping isopropyl alcohol and qtips would work. No luck. This is great, tedious work here.
